Too listless to do any real writing i decided to Google for Wittgensteiniania and came across a letter from a student of Paul Wittgenstein’s; she must be an old bird by now. An amusing passage about the more famous Ludwig:

Whenever Ludwig Wittgenstein visited from England there would be constant yelling and fighting between the brothers. The servants would complain to me.

It’s a nice letter, simple and direct. She ends:

I have fond memories of my years as a student of Paul Wittgenstein.

Although Paul often sounds as domineering and tyrannical as Ludwig, i’m not sure any of Ludo’s students would have said they had “fond memories” of him. He was nuts. People thought he was a loony.
